Autumn – Roasted Chestnut Time ...
Everyone enjoys "Törggele" parties with hot roasted chestnuts and sweet "new" wine in autumn. An easy stroll up to a local farmer`s house and then the party starts - traditional cooking, home-cured and smoked raw pig meat called Speck, delicious home-made sausages and sauerkraut or red cabbage, chestnuts, Krapfen - deep-fried pastry pockets filled with poppy seeds and honey or apricot jam ..... fine food, good wine and great company - the ideal combination in October and November!
Törggeleparties every Wednesday in October from 15.30 near the village fountain at the Village Hall.
